Honey Badger don't care!

Honey badger don't give a shit!

Blind trust?!  We don't need no steenken' blind trust!

Take me in, tender woman....sighed the snake.

Something tells me we're in for a test of Constitutional government that we haven't seen in a long time.

And, not just the Constitution:

But a Downing Street spokesman said: “There is no vacancy. We already have an excellent ambassador to the US.”
....
It is unprecedented for an incoming US president to ask a world leader to appoint an opposing party leader as ambassador, and the statement puts May in a difficult position.

And why does Trump like Farage?  Loyalty?  Yeah, right:

At the meeting, Farage spoke to the new president-elect about putting the bust of Winston Churchill back in the Oval Office, while Trump encouraged Farage to oppose wind farms, which he felt marred the views from his Scottish golf courses.

Andy Wigmore, a communications officer for one of the groups campaigning to leave the EU who was at the meeting alongside Farage, told the Daily Express: “We covered a lot of ground during the hour-long meeting we had.

“But one thing Mr Trump kept returning to was the issue of wind farms. He is a complete Anglophile and also absolutely adores Scotland, which he thinks is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

“But he is dismayed that his beloved Scotland has become over-run with ugly wind farms, which he believes are a blight on the stunning landscape.”

Farage is expecting an invitation to Trump’s inauguration in January, sources have told the Guardian, which increases pressure on May to give him a role in UK-US diplomatic relations.

Did I say "Constitutional crisis"?  How about "Category 1 shitstorm"?

Yeah, this is going to go real well......

Addendum:  hand to God, I did not know this when I posted that link to the song:

Trump often recited the lyrics to a song by Al Wilson called “The Snake” at his rallies and the last line goes like this: “You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in.” He was talking about himself.

  1. Sort of makes you go all lands of the Pilgrim's pride, doesn't it.

I have been wondering if Trump might be the first president in history to have abused his office before he's sworn in to it.

And it's clear that he's going to get a free pass from the media, NPR is pushing his lines and the NYT "public editor" has already said that they went too hard on him during the campaign. Yeah, going too hard on him by softly pointing out a select number of his obvious and obscene crimes and corruption.

This is what happens when an intellectual class and right down to its third tier in the media decide that truth is meaningless and that a lie is as good as it if it will get you what you want. Which is the real moral position of pretty much the majority of our writing and babbling class.

  2. This is not even to get into his phone call to the President of Argentina, asking for help getting a building permit approved in Buenos Aires.

Or meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister with his daughter, and no briefing from the State Department. Why does he need a briefing? He's not interested in foreign policy!

He's going to use the office to enrich himself, and hold private meetings (as he did with the press, when he berated them) to hide the evidence. He broke off a meeting with the NYT because they refused to hold a secret meeting with him. And the NYT public editor thinks they were "too hard" on Trump?

    Oy!

  3. And that's not to mention Trump's debts to scandal-ridden Deutsche Bank and to China, which, of course, will affect his policies not at all. We never saw the promised list of Trump's debts nor his tax returns, so all is mystery.

The TV talking heads still discuss Pence, "Hamilton", and Trump's demand for an apology. Distraction is the game and Trump is its name. He plays the media like a fiddle, and either they're too dim to realize it, or they willingly play along. I lean toward the latter. He summoned media executives to an off-the-record meeting, and leaks hint that he read them the riot act.

  4. He has no clue how to govern, and gives every sign that he intends to simply make money.

Gaining the White House is not free room and board and salary while you run your business; but I'm afraid that's what we've got.
